December 2013 - Improving the Participation of Aboriginal Peoples in Canada'a Workfore

The Canadian Chamber has focused on the significant difficulties Aboriginal peoples face in comleting elementary, secondary, and post-secondary education and in obtaining and retaining employment. In this paper, we take a different approach to this issue by highlighting productive initiatives to improve the workforce participation of Aboriginal peoples and the competitiveness of employers. We will also offer recommendations to the federal government and Canada's businesses on measures both can take to provide Aboriginal peoples and communities--as well as business--with the tools to make these success stories the norm.

October 18th 2012 - Working together for better health outcomes

Saskatoon Health Region and Saskatoon Tribal Council are formalizing their efforts to improve the health outcomes for the First Nations population within their service areas.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will provide the framework for the two organizations to collaborate on programs and other initiatives to meet the needs of First Nations families. Today, STC and Saskatoon Health Region commit to ensuring full participation in the design and delivery of health programs and services for First Nations people.
